What I'm Trying to do/Online Business Question
So I'm starting with what I want the result to be and trying to reverse engineer this. Here's the result I want:
-Make $1000+/week
-Be manageable ANYWHERE in the world where there is internet
-Be automated IE doesn't require ME to do the actual work. Maybe 2-4 hours a day at most. I would be doing the leadership/vision marketing part of it.
How I plan on doing it:
-Hiring a freelancer in another country who is as motivated as I am and cost-effective. For example paying someone in India $150 to program just ONE website is a month's salary in their economy. They are qualified and happy to do it because it's the highest paying job they can get. Their cost of living is so much lower than it is here in the USA and a lot of them are very highly educated and talented.
I'm no stranger to hustling. I worked a 14 hour day today lol. I've owned a business since I was 22 so I know the fundamentals of running a business. But I'm a complete stranger to doing it ONLINE. I was thinking of doing something like customized artwork for websites, or E-book illustrations, like tricked out stuff that you can only get by paying an artist to do. But after a lot of consideration, I've decided to abandon that idea. I love it, but it consumes a lot of my time, and don't see more benefit to it, than what I already bring in.
My question here is... I know what I WANT, but I don't know how I want to do it. So I was wondering if any of you guys who may be more experienced in online marketing etc had any suggestions for how I should go about it.
Well. You need content that's searchable, or in a highly trafficked place.
You've obviously got a free platform here in which to display your work, which is excellent, and I'm sure find more clients.
Other than that what do YOU got. I can tell you how a lot about how to get there but you really haven't introduced any ideas yet.
Well. Being absolutely honest, this is what I want to do... illustrations for novels etc that suck you into the story.
I'm having a lot of self-doubt about it though. Not in my ability, but in the marketability of it. How many people are there who are writing good stories to illustrate? How many of them actually want illustrations? How many of them who want them can actually afford it? lol
My practical side is saying that I need to figure out something more generalized.
Bro that's so gawdamned easy it's not even funny.
I was at the gym earlier couldn't write it out. Anyone else having problems with the forum on their phones?
Ok broski here's what's up..
Take any super popular novels/series. E.g. Harry Potter, Beautiful Creatures, Twilight, Spiderman, Avengers, etc.. take passages out of them, popular ones, and start drawing/illustrating them. Then post them along with the passages they're from, on your site. Not only will you get amazing, targeted, Google juice from this, but you can also go on fan boards and start posting links to your site. This is super viable. You'll probably be able to launch your own forum pretty quickly.
You can go on YouTube and start making vids of you rushing through the creation process to make the drawing. You're getting juice from all these highly popular movies/novels coming out. This is a MASSIVE marketing platform you are easily tapping into.
I've started on a web design business, got all the basic skills and website down, now just looking for that first client. Borrowed all this guy's ideas basically, it's like a super condensed guide

^ That's it?
Ya, obviously I'm reading a ton of books to fill in the gaps, but the plan in that video is my short term focus. Just to get something set up

Thanks for this too. I'm sure it'll come in handy
Since manwhore was talking about web design mockups I decided to search up some old threads to see if anyone wanted more info on the business.
Ya'll should read this-

Basically an incredibly detailed guide to running a web development company. Its the best goddamn thing i've read on the subject.
Bear in mind the space is competitive, and its hard to get into nowdays. But there is money to be made and pretty high margins if you know what you're doing. You need to have quality people on board.
