Will Be Revamping the Main Site Soon.. any ideas? Other sites you guys like?
Obviously the site is pretty amateur looking, even antiquated lol. I've kept it because the bounce rate has always been ungodly low, but it's not going to work as the site moves in a more "mainstream" direction, at least volume-wise. Any examples of other sites or templates you guys think I should be looking at?
I had this site created in 2009, it's an example of how I look at "design". E.g. form follows function.
I think a site should actually SHOW what it is. That site is for a POP display manufacturing company, so I had the site designed to actually LOOK like a pop display. Even the pictures I use for the buttons on the main site, give an actual idea of what they represent, well not so much now but in the past for sure.
Thoughts?
LOL...
The first step to graphic design is to select your color combinations. Your colors are fine as it is IMO. But I use this site heavily to select colors.

I think that site you linked looks a bit tacky. The trend nowadays is leaning more toward "artistic." Even if you pay attention to what big corps like Taco Smell and Burger King are doing, you can see them going more toward "retro" hand-drawn kinds of ads.
This gave me a lot of inspiration...

Yes for sure, you can definitely do both.
I would say a smaller header so that your content and any forms are higher up the page. A different, bigger font. Layout is fine though, just needs to have a few adjustments. And obviously more posts, at least one per week
