Wrong texting??

I texted a girl a message saying that my employer messed the schedules and I ended up working extra to fix the problem, causing me to mess my music study. The second reply is exactly like that, I didn't text her in the right order.
3:43 Me: Sorry I've been a bit busy. I was scheduled to work extra. It kinda messed things up. Are you planning something for your mom?
3:46 Her: Messed things up? Wht happened? And I think I'm going to make cupcakes or something :)
4:08 Me: It took time I could use to study music. My employer messed the th schedules - extra income yeah but i should've been at leas notified. Sounds cool. Is mom helping you with her surprise? x)
She hasn't answered since. For a second I thought I was coming out as frustrated with my issue, but in retrospective it doesn't look that bad. Thoughts?
