You Are All On Orders To Watch True Detective
An incredibly masculine and moving story. You will all be better men for having watched it
I teared up a little during the ending. The show really was something else.
I'm only 30 minutes in, and I dig it. This line from Matthew McConnaughey's character was badass
"Given how long it's taken for me to reconcile my nature, I can't figure I'll forgo it on you're account, Marty."
Dude you just wait man. McConnaughey really did something for men in this role
Hell yeah! I think Woody Harrelson is fantastic too. He doesn't get enough credit. There's almost this comparison going on between the two characters... the married man vs the single man.
The show is amazing, its the product of superior acting, writing, directing, producing.. all cylinders firing. This is the result
I've seen 5 episodes so far and it's amazing.
really awesome to watch the evolution of Rust Cohle and how he can put himself in different scenarios and change his emotional tenor (crash, taxman, etc.) but still act through his own intentions as a dominant male figure. It's particularly interesting because we all have different "sides" to ourselves that we act through given a situation. Whether it be at work at a party, at a drug deal, etc. The self is always in flux, as Jeffy would say.
