Thoughts on forum lay-out/look??
Any thoughts on the setup and lay-out? I'm getting a logo done, etc, but the color scheme is probably off, and things like having to preview comments before you add them is pretty lame.
The faded blue on the left side is weak- some other color scheme would be nice. Also- across the left side, going downwards, you could put some sort of cool looking manwhore advtertisements, tshirt logo or some shit like that.
Also, the background of pure white behind all this is boring, maybe this is where the faded blue should go? Try it out, see how it looks. Also, might try using a sicker font for "Manwhore Forum"
Like, on RSDN they have a white background but the forum subject lines are bigger and bolder so it takes away from the lame background. Obviously you don't want something crazy weird that looks dumb, but you want something to take away from how white the background is- it makes the space look super empty.
Those are just some intiial thoughts. Take what you want, leave the rest.
Also- this page is totally different from your main page. Make your site more congruent? I don't know if you made them different on purpose, but your main page is sick... you could just use the same sorta black/dark color scheme here and change it slightly to make it more friendly towards posting comments.
2. i prefer the user panel on top as well.
3. the text fields are awesome because they are so plain. it's good because i can see post having a lot of text on this forum, and you'll want to give it some space to show.
4. make it congruent with your manwhore brand. you have that no bullshit, ex army brand going on and don't rely on giggly humor. so if people look up your shit, they probably want to learn those traits. make it look raw. e.g. no uber round edges, check. no gay gradients in buttons, check. But I think you'll want some image content for your stuff that is badass. In my opinion, you should see if you can get a hang of someone who puts your mugshot into this style:

cheers
Ive got a guy working on a jquery slider for the top as well as a guy working on my little manwhore avatar/logo.
I fixed the ordering of replies (annoying indents and injecting them in wherever). I want to remove the Save/Preview aspect as well thats annoying.
Buuump. 'Cuz all the bots seem to want to.
Looks good mang, I dig the underground lounge feel of the forum. It's intimate
I browse mainly on mobile and get some functionality issues every now and then while signing in. Keep getting an access denied page after every sign in and it's fairly jarring lol.
Appears you've renovated the main site since I've been around last. I like the way it's been modernized but still retained the underground feel. I've got a few ideas and inspirations for the homepage. Can have a brainstorm session on that if you'd like, or I can shoot ya a pm. Either way
yeah, I liked the new page update.
By the way, the search function doesn't work on my end. Not a biggie, I just use site:manwhore.org keyword
but I assume many people don't know that.
Thanks. Anything you'd add or change? Still working on mobile version. And the forum needs a complete functional revamping. It's still stuck on Drupal 6. Looking to migrate it to vbulletin but they're trying to charge me $1300 to do it which I will not do. Lol
You do a site search on the forum, right? The main site should still have search functionality.
Hey Manwhore! I think this can help. I think the forum can use a faceleft, but the content (info) is probably the best online!
I did some research on migration services. I am not sure which one you wanted to use, but I found a site that does migration from Drupal to Vbulletin etc... they do not seem to have the prices on the site but you can contact them for pricing.
I think you used cms2cms, but I am not sure, they can be very expensive.
Take a look at this one.
Here is the link:

FAQ:
They do not request any payment from you until your site has been successfully converted.
I am not affiliated with them, I just want to help.
Good Luck Manwhore!
Thanks dude jumping on that asap. You're right I've been attempting to get cms2cms to do it for about 2 years now. Finally got them down to about $400 then somehow their price jumped back up. I don't trust them tbh and that's why I never got it done. Just sent in a new request to this other company. Cheers
