So this is one of my best buds from college and he got "Paralyzed" playing rugby like 3 weeks ago. He was one of the first dudes I became friends with when I was sorta making an effort to switch things around a little bit and it was really intense for a few moments there when he was on the ground, probably one of the scariest moments of my life when I got a call saying what happened.
He's been in the hospital for a while and he's gonna be doing intensive physical recovery for 6 months or more and has a blog about his recovery. http://evansrecovery.squarespace.com/
It's not necesarily pickup related, but it's super inspirational to see someone in his condition being so positive. If you guys want me to take this down, I don't have an issue with that, but thought I'd throw it out there, visit the site and support the kid. He's fucking awesome.

Oh and yeah dude, it's insane. He's such a beast. He's going to come out of this like a champ. Prob won't be able to play rugby again but he's such a cool dude that whatever he does, he'll tear it up.

This and your friend are
This and your friend are cool. So is rugby. I was really into it throughout highschool and a bit after. Its funny how shit in the community directly applies to rugby and other sports. But your friends story is really sad. Especially it was his last game of the season. Worst injury I've ever seen playing the game was someone got chop blocked and his kneecap snapped in half. Ugliest part of the story is he lost his baseball scholarship even after it healed up
