Good dedication and detective work will get you SO far in life. I solved a case back in the military thru just a little bit more dedication than the MPs were willing to give, saved my buddy's LIFE (he would be in a graveyard right now) because I simply asked questions and followed up on what I learned, and just got my baby back because I said fuck it I'm going to find my bike.

I first broke down from what areas they could have/would have come from if they were at that particular Vons and rode off on a bike. I hit those neighborhoods for about half an hr then started asking neighborhood kids about it. Found a couple that had actually seen it lol. Thank gawd I've got white rims baby. So the kiddies say they saw a black dude in a hoodie go one way with a bike that matched my description, and then a little while later they saw the same guy walking back FROM there without the bike. So I asked them how long in between, e.g. did he take the bike far or only a little ways before coming back on foot. One kid said it was awhile the other said "No! It was only a couple minutes." So I followed their directions walked a little bit and found where he'd stashed it.

It's a Mongoose trick bike, pretty sweet ;)
