Some Future Options, need Opinions

So this offer just fell right into my lap…

 

Earlier yesterday (Wednesday, 09/20/17) I’m walking to class, looking good and feeling great. I pass by the chick that I was crushing hard for last semester, literally walking by and we both notice each other we make small talk about how we’ve been.

 

Some Back Story: Her and I were/are a part of a school club related towards our major. Last semester she didn’t really like the way the club president was running the club, one night (after the class that we had together, I’ll link the post(s) were I talk about her) between the two of us, we discuss the possibility of her running for president towards the end of the semester, she asks me if she should and I tell her: “yes of course, go for it” and she ask me if I would vote for her and I tell her (I wounded up not voting for her because I got out from work for lunch late that day since it was really busy. I did show up so she knows I was there to support her). Either which, she ended up winning and now she’s president of the club. So she asks me if I’m going to the meeting, I tell her that I can’t because I’m working all day.

 

We talk about scheduling and I tell her the day I’m best available and she said that day could work. We then discuss other days and she says no that she’s works that day, I ask her where she works and she tells me (sales person for Direct TV, inside of Sam’s). We start talking about that she tells me,  “Hey you would be good for the job, You like helping people and you’re outgoing.. “

 

First and foremost I joke about her being a director or manager or something offering me a job, such a headstrong, I give her a bit of inspiration and she takes it an runs with it (I admire it a bit, especially in a woman). She laughs and says no that she’s just part-time but she could become a manager if she decides to go that route/ with more time.

I ask about the pay, she told me they get paid like once a week, tells me how much plus its commission. I kind of not give her an answer aka I’ll think about it (but she got my mind going, and I think she knew), I ask if they’re hiring and she tells me yes. We more or less end the conversation with her letting me know we talk about it more via text.

 

Honestly I was thinking about her and then we run into each other and she hits me with this…

 

The job more or less pays double with what I get paid currently and there’s a commission aspect to it and more can be earned, plus I get to see this hottie more often (1. I don’t have her for a class this semester and 2. No that’s not a reason to hunt for a job/ take a job offer but to me I see it as a bonus lol, but seriously that’s all I see it as). Only thing that I’m iffy on is there might not be room for serious growth. The job I have currently pays decently for the position but chances are I’d have to wait in order to move up to assist manager (in training) which would be in late May if not Early June (I need to graduate College). I could get this job now and earn more, but as far as moving up/growth within the company I’m just not sure, she was kinda vague (but she did say that she wouldn’t mind being a manager in the future).

 

Currently my plans were to become a freelancer by the end of this year and quit my current job (give a two weeks of course), since I’m young, I wanted to go out on my own and really make something of myself for however long and take it from there.

 

I started thinking about becoming a freelancer/having my own business since May, then in June I got serious about it and I set that plan in motion and I could very well be doing that by or before the end of the year and quit my job soon after.

 

Currently I’m running on scraps, and trying to bootstrap my business but a little extra coin could really help out even if its temporary (like a solid 6-9 months… see what I did there with the 6 and the 9? Lol haha)  

 

Oh yeah I’ve been thinking about moving out on my own and this job can make that happen, easily.

 

What do you boys think about the job offer. Honestly when she told me, “you like helping people” (literally something I enjoy doing, no joke, I like it. Oh and one more thing I don’t ever remember telling her that about me, I just like to help people). IDK fellas I might still be sweet falling for what she said (you like to help people). Those might’ve been my trigger words lol

 

Honestly peeps, let me reiterate, I’d be making this decision for more coin, not to try to bang her (although have banged co-workers aka an assistant manager in the past, and ya boy don’t mind doing it again going out and in with a bang). That would not be the main reason why I would go for this job, (I’d be doing it for money anything else would be a bonus).

 

Let me put it this way, if you take her off the table from wanting to get this job, I would still go after anyways (if the offer was given). We just happen to know each other and she pretty much told me she trusts me.

 

Also I think I’ll hear out more of what she has to say and see what this job is about, if its as she says it is (just to make sure).  If you guys need more info, or think I’m missing something then lemme know.
