Vocal Test - How Do I Sound?
MW, more on the public speaking class:
I dug up some old shit cause DeChee reminded me w the monologue
We did monologues on the daily! Those were actually very cool. You had to 10min to read and practuce the monologue then you would get up in front of everybody and present. He would grade you on body language, use of the stage and props, eye contact w the audience, pauses and spacing, tonality, rate of speaking, loudness and overall flow of if you were able to get in touch w the character.
Meow, that shit will help you a lot. It's another way to break layers of social conditioning in you. Lots of my classmates COULDNT do the leadership roles or confident ones. Not cause of any ability but cause they just couldnt imagine themselves in that role.
Ironically, they could do the sad monologues and unhappy ones but couldnt do the ones that made them feel vulnerable.
Everybody could do the fake, silly, and goofy monologues. U just have to be someone you're not which we all do lol.
Lets post some acting monolouges. Preferably flirty and sensual ones.
I'll be working on this one

Yeah a lot of what I do in the training is this exact stuff
Finally recorded a set!
Got the number at the end of the interaction and have been texting the girl all day with GRRREAT success. What's funny is that this set is utter garbage to me, on a scale of 1-10 its closer to a 1. One of my lamest interactions especially of the night.
Obviously you can't tell body language or escalation here but it was there. So was laughter but you can only hear mine really.
Anywho, this is my voice when in a loud enviornment. IMO, its not that sexy and would love your guys' critiques.
TURN UP YOUR AUDIO MAX AND PUT ON HEADPHONES
19min long interaction - moved her once - didn't move her again cause I could feel the vibe wasn't there.
1)Vocals (Tonality, Pacing etc.)
2)Verbals
Personally, I know I'm talking a bit fast here and have some stutters going on and the verbals are dog shit lmao. Maybe I'm just being hard on myself but this isn't up to par with what I usually do. This was the only set that had decent audio :(
Talking in super loud club enviornments has always been a tough spot for me. I have to stretch my voice and I lose a lot of nuance and creativity in that because I'm focusing on being heard over other things.
asuh dewd
Lol
What the fuck dude. You should have no problems talking in loud environments. Been a pussy ass on the vocal drills
Jihad it sounds like you're voices is pretty loud and distinct compared to hers!
I totally can relate to that feeling of having to stretch your voice though. I think a big part of it is where your attention is centered, with all the chaos around you in a loud bar you can get caught in all the stimulus and you have a hard time hearing yourself and modulating accordingly.
Edit: Run your vocal drills in the car with music playing and stay centered on your voice. Do not let the music overcome the emotion you're expressing. Be greater than the music. I just tried it and afterwards I was projecting with power I didn't know I had before.
