It would make sense if this was some chick who I hadn't hungout with multiple times, but before I was doing pretty minimal "nice guy" text game on her and she was sending smiley faces every other text, now I feel like the vibe has completely changed and it's like I'm getting way more out there with the texting and she's like what's going on. I feel what you are saying, I've been there too in the begining of learning game. My worries was that this "new me"  was too edge, like I was taking more risks then before, so the girls that knew me before would see the gaap betwen the "new and old me" and call it out, as if I was faking and shit. I didn't know how to deal with that at the time, so I was afraid I would blow my chances with them.

But actually it didn't even matter because I saw that if I "holdd my frame" they would eat it up.

They test the congruence, you stay congruent and after some of this they will accept the "new you". 

So I think you're feeling it try-hard because you are actually being try-hard in the sense that you're too invested, outcome dependent. 

You have to think in terms of what your ideal self would be, the type of person you want to be, and then internalize those qualities/virtues. Like: positivity, fun, presence/flow, authenticity/acting through your own intentions, no half stepping walking on egg shells shit, expression not impression, being at the cause not at the effect, presence/flow, clear intent, freedom from outcome, self esteem/less ego, integrity, detachment, man of action/executor, etc.

And yeah G-Money I'll be the first to admit that my textgame isn't solid, I guess where my head was at before this point is from chilling with a natural friend who has a lot of chicks on his joc. He sends "friendly" type texts and was helping me text this girl originally, that's why all my text interaction with her from before felt so different and why I was asking about the congruence. B/c she still liked that "friendly" and more minimalist/less risky type of textgame, and had met up with me/my friends with that shit a few times before.

There must be something that he's doing either with his texts/in person/ both that I'm missing, but he himself saw me hook/makeout and get this chicks # at the party when I met her and told me how dope it was, but yeah I must not be doing his texting style right. And obviously we're 2 different people so we have different vibes in person too
